METHOD FOR SETTING UP LAYERED PATH BASED ON QUALITY OF SERVICE/TRAFFIC PARAMETERS OF ASYNCHRONOUS TRANSFER MODE

PURPOSE: A method for setting up a layered path based on the quality of service(QoS)/traffic parameters of an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM), is provided to select a path satisfying a band width and a QoS demanded in the layered path, and to select a path having a highest band width and QoS among paths suitable for the layered architecture of a telecommunication information networking architecture(TINA) system, so as to distribute a network load. CONSTITUTION: Every path is pre-calculated based on network information detected from an element management layer-topology configurator(EML-TC) detecting present network information for a requested path. A path having the highest quality of service(QoS) and band width among the calculated paths is pre-calculated to a network management layer-topology configurator(NML-TC). A communication network is configured by selecting the pre-calculated representative path, when the connection request for the communication network is inputted.
