A polyalkylene oxide, or a derivative of this, which has an average molecular weight above 1,000, is used to improve the rigidity of silicone-based molding materials. Addition crosslinked silicone-based molding material comprises: (a) an organic polysiloxane with at least two unsaturated groups in the molecule; (b) an organic hydrogen polysiloxane with at least three Si-H groups in the molecule; (c) optionally, organic polysiloxanes which do not have reactive groups; (d) a platinum catalyst; (e) optionally, a hydrophilization agent; (f) a filler; (g) optionally, conventional additives, auxiliaries and dyes; and (h) 0.001-5 wt.%, based on the total weight of the hardened material, of a polyalkylene oxide, or a derivative of this, which has an average molecular weight above 1,000.
