PURPOSE: An electric washing machine is provided to save the consumption amount of water and detergent by perforating dehydrating openings and fluid through holes on an upper and a lower ends of a dehydrating tub. CONSTITUTION: In an electric washing machine, a dehydrating tub(30) is rotatably mounted in a water reservoir(20). An impeller(344) for sucking the water contained in the water reservoir(20) and pumping it out into the dehydrating tub(30) is integrally provided in a lower surface of a pulsator(34). The upper end of the dehydrating tub(30) is provided with dehydrating openings(311), while the lower end thereof is provided with fluid through holes(312). Accordingly, even if small amount of washing water is fed into the dehydrating tub(30) containing laundry upon washing and rinsing processes, the water level in the dehydrating tub(30) is kept at a sufficient level to wash and rinse the laundry by means of the suction and pumping forces of the impeller(344) and, thus, washing and rinsing are performed well. As a result, water consumption amount required in washing and rinsing is considerably reduced, electric power is less consumed by shortening of the time required to feed water, and water pollution caused by life waste water is reduced by reduction of the using amount of detergent as well as water. |
