摘要 PURPOSE: An addressing method of an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) cell for utilizing an ATM adaptation layer(AAL)2, is provided to preassign the number of a voice permanent virtual connection(PVC) for each base station and to divide voice data by users from an AAL2-typed ATM cell, in order to easily assign an address using a channel identifier(CID) as a virtual channel identifier of the new ATM cell, when the voice data is mapped with each ATM cell one by one. CONSTITUTION: Each base station preassigns a permanent virtual connection(PVC). In an international mobile telecommunications-2000(IMT-2000) transmitting voice data to a control station from a base station through an ATM adaptation layer(AAL)2 of asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) cell, if an input buffer, buffering an ATM cell transmitted from each base station, exits, a type of the cell is checked. If the input ATM cell is an ATM adaptation layer(AAL)2 of ATM cell, the ATM cell is generated by assigning a virtual path identifier(VPI) as a VPI and a channel identifier(CID) of a short cell as a virtual channel identifier(VCI) to map with the short cell one by one.
