PURPOSE: A method for controlling a panoramic video monitoring system is provided to mix 360 degree videos reflected to horizontal direction with videos reflected only to vertical direction on a hemisphere-shaped mirror by cameras so that all directional monitoring characteristic of the system may be raised as displaying all directional videos as a quadratic plane of panoramic videos without distorted videos, and to convert the distorted individual videos into normal videos to display on a displayer so that a displaying characteristic of the individual videos may be maximized. CONSTITUTION: Videos, being reflected to all directions from a hemisphere-shaped mirror equipped in monitoring locations, are photographed by cameras. Extracted parts are revolved and compensated to a normal video to mix the compensated videos by extracting the distorted parts of 360 degree videos reflected only to horizontal direction with videos reflected only to vertical direction on the mirror. The videos are converted into standard videos to compensate/store the converted videos by extracting an individual area selected among the mixed video signals. When an output signal of a panorama video is inputted, an all-directional panorama video of a predetermined monitor location is output. When a video output signal of the individual area is inputted, a video of an individual area of the monitor location is output.
