The joint to hold vacuum hose sections (1) together at a connector (2), in a vehicle, has a unit (16,18) which is rotated to give a fixed mounting in relation to the vehicle body. A component (14) gives the required rotation. The connection has a ratchet lock (16,18) and/or a laying surface, and is at least partially part of the connection (2).
