<p>The invention relates to an internal combustion engine (1), notably for a motor vehicle, which has a combustion chamber (4) into which fuel can be injected in at least two operating modes. Each injection mode has an injection start angle and an injection period. The invention also provides for a control device (18) for control and/or adjustment purposes. By means of the control device (18) an injection end angle can be determined from the injection start angle and the injection period. The control device (18) also makes it possible to verify whether the injection end angle exceeds an injection cut-off angle.</p> |
