METHOD FOR GENERATING RLL CODE HAVING IMPROVED DC SUPPRESSION AND METHOD FOR MODULATING/DEMODULATING THE GENERATED RLL CODE

PURPOSE: RLL code generation method is provided to effectively suppress DC component of code word stream by using a code word having the small bit number after maximally using CSV and INV being a characteristic parameter of a code word. CONSTITUTION: RLL(sun length limited) code generation method is indicated as a minimum run length(d), a maximum run length(k), a data bit length(m), and a code word bit length(n). A code word is generated according to a run length condition of d,k. Overlapped code word is made according to a LZ number of a generated code word. The code word of each code group makes each code group by selecting one between a main code group and a sub code group. End zero(EZ) number of the generated code word is checked, the next code word group after the generated code word proper to DC control of code word stream is determined. Thereby, DC component of code word stream can be effectively suppressed by using a code word having the small bit number.
