<p>A method of preventing an over-adhesion of paper on the surface of a press roll of a paper machine for long period and also preventing wear and contamination, the press roll being in a state of being supplied with paper by the operation of the paper machine, the method comprising the step of continuously supplying a wax having a melting point lower than the surface temperature of the press roll at 0.01 to 10 mg/m2 on a passing paper basis directly onto the surface of the rotating press roll.</p> |
