The system comprises electronic units (106,108,110,112) which mutually exchange data via a communications system (100). There are several independent energy sources, supplying power to the units. The communications system has at least two channels. For each channel there at least one bus driver (130-144). At least two bus drivers are supplied with voltage from one of the two energy sources. The electronic unit (106) has an interface connected to the communications system.
