APPARATUS FOR INTERWORKING ELECTRONIC MAIL WITH BULLETIN BOARD SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An apparatus for interworking electronic mail with a bulletin board system(BBS) is provided to upload bulletins on the BBS by using electronic mail clients without accessing a BBS universal resource locator(URL) with a web browser, by automatically uploading the electronic mail on the BBS. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for interworking electronic mail with a bulletin board system(BBS) comprises a mail server(103) and a multi-purpose internet mail extensions(MIME) interpreter/BBS converter(104). A general user(101) transmits E-mail to an address interworked with the BBS. A transmitting mail server transmits the E-mail to the receiving mail server(103). The receiving mail server has a mail BBS function for identifying addresses of E-mail and for interpreting whether the addresses are interworked with the BBS. When the address is interworked with the BBS, the receiving mail server transmits the E-mail to the MIME interpreter/BBS converter. The MIME interpreter/BBS converter converts a mail header and a body into BBS data. The converted E-mail is stored in a notice memory to be uploaded in the BBS. The BBS is classified into public BBS and an intranet BBS according to contents of the E-mail.
