A voltage controlled oscillator (10) can operate in multiple frequency bands. One or more PIN diodes (20) are connected parallel to inductances (38) and selectively shorts them out. This selectively scales the RF impedance of the tank circuit (16), thereby applying the correct voltages for oscillator (24) to produce the correct frequencies. |
