The post holder is bent into U shape from 60 x 6 mm flat iron to give height (1) of 200 mm, width (2) 72 mm and with 4 holes (3) drilled out in parallel to 10.5 mm diameter. The anchor tube (4) consists of a quadrant tube of 20 x 60 x 2.5 mm, welded to the holder and fully galvanized over its length of 745 mm. The holder is used to set fence posts central to boundary stones despite fence length and curvature, and once installed the holder is concreted into place on fence completion. In a variant, using iron flats of 50 x 5 mm in U shape, the anchor tube 20 x 49 x 2 mm stands 500 mm long as welded to the post holder. |
