From the change with time of the engine rotation speed, a representative gradient value is determined. An adjustment element controls opening of the servo-coupling dependent on the gradient value. An Independent claim is made for a device for determination of a representative gradient value for change in engine rotation speed and an adjuster that controls the servo-coupling dependent on the gradient value.
