<p>The invention relates to a drill comprising a body (1) and an exchangeable cutting insert (3) which is located in a cavity (4) which is open towards the drill tip (16) and passes through the body perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (2) of same. The cutting insert (3) contacts the side walls (5) of the cavity (4) on two diametrically opposed bearing faces. Between each bearing face of the cutting insert (3) and side wall (5) of the cavity (4) a groove (8) is situated which extends towards the longitudinal axis (2) and in which a clamping wedge is held with a form fit and friction fit and cooperates with the body (1) and the cutting insert (3) in the manner of a self lock acting in the direction of the drill tip (16).</p> |
