A viewing terminal suitably used for authorizing viewing of a program, especially for remote education, by a viewer, a viewing authorizing system, a method for authorizing viewing, a remote education method, and a recorded medium readable by a viewing terminal are disclosed. The viewing terminal includes means for allowing the user to input a viewing confirmation code specific to a presented audio-visual program so as to transmit the viewing confirmation code to the authorizer and means for transmitting the inputted viewing confirmation code and time information corresponding to the viewing confirmation code to the authorizer. The time information is typically the time when the code is inputted. The time information may be a time duration calculated from the input time. The viewing terminal is suitable, for example, for confirming whether or not the viewer actually views the program for remote education. The time information is handled, for example, stored or transmitted in relation with the viewing confirmation code.
