The device has at least one movable part, a laser (3) for producing a laser beam (5) and an electronically controllable arrangement (4) for guiding the laser beam to points on a surface of the object (9) to be inscribed. The guiding arrangement can influence the direction of the laser beam. An Independent claim is also included for a system with an object to be labelled and an inscribing device.
