PURPOSE: A channel structure for a multicast service is provided to use codes, to schedule channels and to vary a data transmission speed by using a new transmission channel and a physical channel mapped on the new channel, so as to more efficiently support a multicast service for a next generation. CONSTITUTION: Multicast traffic channels(MTCH) transmit corresponding multicast data and information on the same data, by registering particular subscribers or groups in a service. A transmission channel comprises a multicast control channel(MCCH) including control information on the MCH and a multicast channel(MCH) which transmits corresponding multicast data via the multicast traffic channel. Physical channels are respectively mapped with the MCH and the MCCH. A physical multicast control channel(PMCCH) has a regular transmission speed and cell characteristics thereto, and has not need a field to control power. The MCH is a down-directed link channel shared by multicast groups delivering multicast data. The MCCH is a down-directed link channel used for supplying all cells for supporting a sleep mode process of user entity(UE), with MCH control information.
