<p>User authentication is performed by verifying that a voice sample of a user belongs to an enrolled user. Access or use of a consumer electronics device is controlled by a voice verification engine that employs a microphone, digital signal processor, and a FLASH memory. To authenticate a user, the digital signal processor converts voice samples obtained from the microphone into a voiceprint and compares the voiceprint with an enrolled voiceprint stored in the FLASH memory.</p> |
