PURPOSE: A system for providing private information is provided so that a user can join a desired site by inputting only his ID, password and the address of a private information providing server which the user joined in. CONSTITUTION: A client(10), a PC connected to the internet through a telephone network or a dedicated line, is connected to the internet by TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol). As a web server displaying and providing information on the world wide web, a private information providing server(12) stores each subscriber s private information and provides private information by subscribers according to each ID and password. A cooperation web server(14), as the web server of a web site that concluded business cooperation with the private information providing server(12), updates the private information of a new subscriber received from the private information providing server(12).
