A pipe joint and a method of making a pipe joint, in which a sleeve (3) is positioned inside the end of a first pipe (1) to be joined and the end of a second pipe (2) to be joined is positioned in such a way that the sleeve (3) is located between the end of the first pipe (1) and the end of the second pipe (2).
