The subject of this invention is the method of joining metal-sheet elements (14), in particular of shaped metal-sheet sections used in the building industry, to which wall elements are attached, and a manual tool for joining such elements. The nature of the method of joining metal-sheet elements (14) according to this invention consists of simultaneous making of openings in contacting elements and rim deformation of openings so that the elements (14) are joined cutting them along straight lines. At the time of joining the elements one cut is made, and next at the same time four cuts are made pairwise parallel at the ends of the first cut, while the rectangular strips of metal-sheet made during the cutting are burred, and near the root of the burring strips shallow overpresses are made which form an inelastic joint. The tool for joining metal-sheet elements consists of two hinged jaws (1, 4) equipped with a die (3) and a punch (5), and with a clamping lever with a coupler. The punch of the tool is of prismatic shape with cut-outs (9) on both ends of the base, and the die (3) consists of two parallel walls with inside planes basically located in planes of triangular walls of the punch (5). |
