REFLECTION TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A reflection type liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to increase the reflection ratio as well as the contrast of the device. CONSTITUTION: A reflection type liquid crystal display device includes a first insulation substrate, a second insulation substrate, a liquid crystal layer, and an electric field generator. The first insulation substrate includes a transparent electrode therein. The second insulation substrate includes a reflection electrode having a plurality of protrusions. A plurality of lines and the lines connect the lines and the edge of the reflection electrode of the second insulation substrate define a closed curve region. The arrangement of the liquid crystal layer is varied by the electric field applied on the transparent electrode and the reflection electrode. The electric field generator generates the electric field between the transparent electrode and the reflection electrode.
