An ethylene-aromatic vinyl compound copolymer characterized by satisfying the following conditions: (1) the aromatic vinyl compound content is from 0.5 mol% to 10 mol%; (2) as measured with respect to a molded product having a thickness of 0.2 mm, the haze is at most 14%, or the total light transmittance is at least 90%; (3) an ethylene-aromatic vinyl compound copolymer characterized in that the relation of the aromatic vinyl compound content and the glass transition point (Tg) obtained by an inflection point method as observed at a temperature of at least -50 DEG C by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), satisfies the following formula (1): $wherein\; St\; represents\; the\; aromatic\; vinyl\; compound\; content\; (molar\; fraction\; \%)\; in\; the\; copolymer;\; and\; (4)\; the\; weight\; average\; molecular\; weight\; is\; from\; 140,000\; to\; 500,000\; when\; the\; aromatic\; vinyl\; compound\; content\; is\; from\; 5\; mol\%\; to\; 10\; mol\%,\; or\; from\; 60,000\; to\; 500,000\; when\; the\; content\; is\; from\; 0.5\; mol\%\; to\; less\; than\; 5\; mol\%.$
