<p>A universal buildout base (10) and mounting panel system for use with an optical fiber buildout assembly is disclosed. The system includes a buildout base (10) formed about a longitudinal axis (12) having an elongate body (11) portion with a first end (14) and a spaced second end (15). A mounting panel (97) is provided, the mounting panel (97) having at least one opening defined therein, and preferably a plurality of identical ones of the opening defined therein. The buildout base (10) has a spaced pair of first mounting flanges (21) sized and shaped to be received against the mounting panel (97), and a spaced pair of second mounting flanges (22), one each of the second flanges (22) being spaced from and opposed to one each of the first flanges (21), for receiving the panel therebetween in a snap-fit. The buildout base (10) may be selected from one of the group of buildout bases which includes the SC, ST TM , FC, and LC buildout bases, and is sized and shaped to also receive any one of the different types of buildout caps therein, to include the SC, ST TM , FC, and LC buildout caps. <IMAGE></p> |
