Downhole flow control device

A downhole choke mechanism comprising a housing 60 having at least one port 120, an inner sleeve 62 having ports 122 corresponding to those in the housing and an outer sleeve 64 which may additionally be ported. The inner and outer sleeve are actuated either independently or together using a drive system to variably conceal and reveal the housing ports. The drive system is controlled by a downhole processor receiving inputs from sensors downhole and the choke mechanism can be manually overriddden by shearing out the sleeves from the drive system.
