SOLUTION: In the electrostatic frier obtained by fixing an electrode net 5 forming an electrostatic field in an oil tub 15 on a supporting net 4 on heat tubes 15a in the tub 15 through insulators 7, a distance between the tubes 15a and the upper end of the wall surface of the tub 15 is extended to form a space sufficient for soaking food material in edible oil over the net 5.
