摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid rise of the lip reaction force in the case an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene coat with the excellent sliding resistance and wear durability is provided on a seal lip. SOLUTION: A glass run is made from an EPDM rubber by extrusion molding. A large number of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fibers 11 are welded onto the outer side surface and the bottom wall part of seal lips 6, 7 to be contacted with a door glass via a low molecular weight polyethylene or high density polyethylene thin base film 12. The fibers 11 are arranged in parallel with the glass run longitudinal direction. Thereby, a good sliding property as well as an improved wear durability are provided in the door glass. Since the base film 12 is sufficiently flexible and the hard fibers 11 welded thereon are arranged parallel along the glass run longitudinal direction, deflection deformation of the seal lips 6, 7 is not hindered at all so that the lip reaction force cannot be excessively high.
