PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a radially layered copolymer dendrimer useful as a constituent of a low-surface-energy coating for protection, water repelling, oil repelling, peeling, and defoaming, which dendrimer has a hydrophilic polyamideamine or polypropyleneimine interior and a hydrophobic organosilicon exterior which contains at least three organosilicon branch cell layers. SOLUTION: A surface-amino-containing hydrophilic dendrimer is reacted with an organosilicon compound to form a copolymer dendrimer having a hydrophobic organosilicon exterior containing at least one organosilicon branch cell layer, and this dendrimer is hydrosilylated with an organosilicon compound in the presence of a noble metal catalyst to provide at least one additional organosilicon branch cell layer on the hydrophobic organosilicon exterior of the dendrimer to prepare a radially layered copolymeric dendrimer having a hydrophilic polyamideamine or polypropyleneimine interior and a hydrophobic organosilicon exterior.
