PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a headrest assembly from being deformed due to torsion by efficiently transmitting to a locking mechanism a load, which is loaded to the center part of a headrest frame from the head of a passenger on occasions such as in a collision from behind, and to reduce weight of the headrest by downholding the number of parts. SOLUTION: A ratchet member 41 and a supporting bracket 42 are provided to an approximate center of a horizontal supporting part 21 of a headrest-stay 20. A headrest-frame 30 is bent, at the lower tip positions of the ratchet member 41 and the supporting bracket 42, to form a bend 33. Bearings 31 for a horizontal supporting part 21 of the headrest-stay 20 are formed on the both sides of lower part of the headrest-frame 30.
