<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently collect and remove chips from an internal drum type imaging system by providing a door tray having a cover composed of a plurality of removable fingers, selectively removing a specified group of fingers from a cover according to respective punch positions, and forming an opening concerned with the cover. SOLUTION: A chip collecting device 60 is combined with an internal drum 20 for an imaging system so as to collect and remove chips punched out from a record medium 18 by a side punch 50. A chip tray 92 is provided with a cover 64 composed of a lot of fragile fingers 66 arranged at equal intervals for sealing it. A prescribed group of fingers 66 is removed from the cover 64 according to the specified position and form of the side punch 50 attached to the internal drum 20 so as to form an opening in the cover 64. During operation of the side punch 50, the punched-out chips are dropped into the chip tray 62 through the opening of the cover 64 arranged in the lower side of the punch and collected efficiently.</p> |
