PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the thick section of a membrane-material end section, which can be formed simply at a low cost and by which a contact between a membrane material and a notched-section opening is avoided and frictional resistance with a support notched section in the case of parallel displacement can be reduced. SOLUTION: The shading screen, in which notched sections having spreading towards the inside are formed along the longitudinal direction and the notched sections are combined with two supports arranged so that the notched sections are faced oppositely and used and which are used in a parallel displaceable manner in the longitudinal direction of the supports by inserting thick sections 12 formed along both end sections of a membrane material 11 in thickness larger than the width of the notched-section openings into the notched sections, is used as a basis, and the thick sections 12 are formed by mounting a tape 14 in fixed width in which thick edges thicker than the width of the notched- section openings are formed along end sections along both end sections of a membrane base material.
