PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noises occurring when a throttle valve is rapidly opened in a state in which the pressure difference between the upstream side and the downstream side of the throttle valve is large, and to avoid reduction of a valve passing flow at time of full opening of the throttle valve to enlarge an output of an engine. SOLUTION: This intake amount controller has a throttle body 1, forming an intake passage 2 and a throttle valve 5 turnably supported in the throttle body 1 via a throttle shaft 3. The throttle valve 5 is provided with flow rate adjustment members 16 for restricting a flow rate of air flowing through an opening A between an orifice side end edge and a wall face of the intake passage 2. The flow rate adjustment member 16 is formed such that the flow rate adjustment member 16 does not protrude from a projected plane of the throttle shaft 3, when viewed from the downstream side of the intake passage 2 in time of full opening of the throttle valve 5.
