PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of eliminating stagnant water in the bottom of a toilet with very simple work. SOLUTION: When stagnant water 16 of a drainage trap in the bottom of a toilet 10 is eliminated, a suction pipe 22 is immersed into the stagnant water 16 by using a hand pump 20 having the suction pipe 22 and a discharge pipe 24 and, at the same time, the discharge pipe 24 is located at a drain pipe side. The stagnant water 16 pumped up through the suction pipe 22 discharged to a drain pipe 18 from the discharge pipe.
