摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for vehicle that can improve the response at the time of retake-off through execution of engine startup control in the vehicle provided with an automatic speed change mechanism. SOLUTION: In this controller, engine output increase is prohibited (output increase prohibition means) for a period up to the power transmission state by engaging released hydraulic friction elements (period B) at the beginning of engine startup. When the engine output increase is requested immediately before completion of engagement of the hydraulic friction elements (period C), at this point, hydraulic pressure for supplying the hydraulic friction elements are made maximum to accelerate to complete the engagement (full pressure supply). Furthermore, the engine output is gradually increased according to the time lag up to hydraulic pressure rise of the hydraulic friction elements (tailing control).</p>
