<p>PURPOSE:To remove lowering of washing efficiency and variation in pressure caused by imbalance of gas flow due to ruffling on the liquid surface by installing plural compartment plates whose lower end is lower than the lower end of a partition plate and whose upper end is higher than the washing liquid surface in crossing the partition plate. CONSTITUTION:Untreated exhaust gas A from an inlet fule 1 pushes down the washing liquid surface 3 without gas passing to the surface 3 by its pressure and passes the lower end 6 of the partition plate 5, undergoing gas-liquid contact treatment with a washing liquid B to get out of the liquid surface 4 on the side of the outlet flue 2, causing it to discharge as treated exhaust gas A' through the outlet flue 2. Here on the inflow side of the untreated gas A, are installed plural compartment plates 7 crossing the partition plate 5 so that the lower end 8 of the compartment plate 7 may be lower than the lower end 6 of the partition plate 5 and the upper end 9 may be higher than the liquid surface 3. Similar compartment plates 7' are also installed on the side of the outlet flue 2 so that the lower end 8' of the compartment plates 7' may be lower than the lower end 6 of the partition plate 5 and the upper end 9' may be higher than the liquid surface 4.</p> |
