DUST COLLECTING PAPER AND ELECTRIC AIR CLEANING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dust collecting paper excellent in dust collection property and installation and to provide an electric air cleaning apparatus comprising a dust collecting paper sheet capable of collecting dust and mote by electrostatic attraction force. SOLUTION: This dust collecting paper is made of solely a synthetic fiber or in combination with a natural fiber and has equilibrium water content 4.0% or lower after being left for 24 hours in 20 deg.C-65% RH condition and the surface resistance of 1×1010Ωor higher. The dust collecting paper preferably has density of 0.33 g/cm3 or lower and vertical cantilever rigidity of 100 mm or higher. Powder dust charged with negative charge is collected by electrostatic attraction force by installing the dust collecting paper and positively charging the dust collecting paper. The dust collecting paper is installed in this air cleaning apparatus.
