PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material wherein in a multicolor heat-sensitive recording material containing a diazonium salt compound having a plurality of different colors as a color development component, light demarcation properties of the recording material and developing properties of each layer are improved so that an image of high quality having high reproducibility of color tones can be formed. SOLUTION: In the heat-sensitive recording material 10, wherein two or more heat-sensitive recording layers each containing a diazonium salt having different maximum absorption wavelength as a color-developing component are provided on a supporting body, one heat-sensitive recording layer 14 contains a coupler and a diazonium salt A which reacts with the coupler to form a pigment and has a maximum absorption wavelength λ1, while other heat- sensitive recording layer 18 contains a coupler and a diazonium salt B which reacts with the coupler to form a pigment and has a maximum absorption wavelength λ2, and an intermediate layer 16 which has an absorbing power of wavelength λ1-λ2 and contains a diazonium salt C, which is colorless after a recording process, is provided between the layers 14, 18. |
