PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce energy required for combusting volatile organic substances in nondeodorizing gas or unburnt gas by providing a heat storage heat exchanger for changing that between combustion gas and nondeodorizing gas, and a conduction heating honeycomb heater for heating and combusting nondeodorizing gas passed through the heat exchanger. SOLUTION: This heat storage combustion deodorization system 1 comprises a three tower heat exchanging room 2 (2a-2c) communicating with a common combustion chamber 3 on the upper sections. A gas introduction pipe 4 and a gas exhaust pipe 5 are coupled with the lower section of each heat exchanging room 2 and used while being changed over by means a valve 9. A heat storage body 7 is disposed in each heat exchanging room 2 and a heating and combusting means, i.e., a conduction heating honeycomb heater 21, is disposed with the upstream side end face 23 thereof touching the downstream side end face 22 of each heat storage body. Each heat storage body 7 comprises four square ceramic honeycomb structures arranged while touching the side faces to have square cross-section.
