FILAMENT NONWOVEN FABRIC AND ARTIFICIAL LEATHER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a filament nonwoven fabric having both softness and stiffness together and capable of converting to a grain tone leather having no folding wrinkles and a nubuck tone leather having new excellent fine surface touch. SOLUTION: This filament nonwoven fabric is formed from a thermoplastic polymer having fiber-forming function and satisfies following each (A) to (D) requirement simultaneously. (A) The nonwoven has 5-70 fiber bundles per 1 cm width at any section from the depth direction. (B) Total surface area of the fiber bundles is 5-70% in any rectangular section to the depth direction of the nonwoven. (C) Apparent density is 0.10-50 g/cm3. (D) Cutting ends are existing at a rate of 5-100 /mm2 surface area of the nonwoven.
