PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a dope by which the formation of undissolved materials or gel-like materials such as an aggregate in a cellulose acylate dope is suppressed to the utmost and the cellulose acylate is dissolved at a high rate and to obtain a high-quality cellulose acylate film. SOLUTION: The characteristic of this method for preparing a cellulose acylate dope is to continuously feed a cellulose acylate and a solvent to a first mixing vessel A, make both stay in the vessel A for >=1 min, carry out mixing and swelling, then feed the resultant mixture to a second mixing vessel B and completely dissolve and uniformize the mixture when preparing the cellulose acylate dope.
