PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sandal that can be seen in the dark by providing the vamp of the sandal with active light-emitting materials in various ways which illuminates in the dark after receiving ultra-violet rays from the sun, fluorescent lamps, or incandescent lamps. SOLUTION: Various shaped pieces to be attached to the vamps of sandals illuminating in the dark are produced from various light-emitting materials. This piece is attached to a sandal whose vamp 1 has no light-emitting element. With this piece, the sandal can be easily seen in the dark, which illuminates in the dark after receiving ultra-violet rays from the sun, fluorescent lamps, or incandescent lamps. Light-emitting embroider thread 2 as an example may be used to stitch decorative patterns with the lamp 1 such as alphabets, figures, symbols, straight or curve lines, or mixed patterns of them.
