PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool with a simple structure enabling precise cutting automatically in a short period. SOLUTION: A nozzle part 14 injecting air on a face to be machined of a workpiece 1 is formed on a peripheral part of a cutting tool 4. A rotary joint 13 is installed on the nozzle part 14 to supply air to the nozzle part 14. A pneumatic-to-electric transducer unit 12 converting air pressure injected by the nozzle part 14 into voltage to measure a clearance between the nozzle part 14 and the face to be machined is connected to the rotary joint part 13. A calibration ring 2 through which the tool 4 can be inserted for adjusting measuring sensitivity of the pneumatic-to-electric transducer unit 12 is installed on a spindle part 6 side on a pallet 3.
