PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sound-insulating structure in which the vertically movable members of a movable partition wall are brought into press-contact uniformly with a ceiling and a floor even when the ceiling and the floor are inclined slightly or there is unevenness. SOLUTION: In the sound-insulating structure of the movable partition wall in which a vertically movable member 2 closing an opening between a partition wall body 1 and a ceiling or a floor is fitted into a recessed groove formed at the upper end or lower end of the partition wall body 1 hung to the ceiling and moved and directed in the horizontal direction, being able to be moved in the vertical direction and the vertically movable member 2 is moved forward and retreated in the vertical direction from the recessed groove by forwarding- retreating means 6 installed into the partition wall body 1, the vertically movable member 2 is mounted on the forwarding-retreating means 6, being able to be rotated around a shaft 17 directed in the horizontal direction.
