STERILIZABLE BAG, SEALS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SEALS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal for a bag which is durable against a pressure caused by vapor sterilization of 125 deg.C or more and which can be manufactured easily and positively. SOLUTION: A seal 4 is present between a first polymer sheet material 5 and a second polymer sheet material 3. The first sheet material 5 is sufficiently porous in such a way that sterilization with either gas or vapor can be carried out and in turn the first sheet material is substantially impermeable against bacteria. The second sheet material 3 is substantially impermeable against gas, includes at least a layer that can be sealed with an external heat. The seal 4 includes a first heat surface welding section 11 between a layer that can be sealed by heat of the second sheet material 3 and the first sheet material 5, and a second heat melting welding section 12 between the second sheet material and a layer that can be sealed at least by heat. The heat welding section is narrower than the first welding section and present in an interface of the first welding section.
