PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform the separation, recovery and the purification of a nucleic acid related material by preparing an adsorbing material for capturing a nucleic acid base related compound such as a nucleotide or a polynucleotide from a compound having a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic structure using pyrimide (5,4-d)pyrimidine expressed by a specific formula as a base nucleus. SOLUTION: The adsorbing material suitable for capturing the nucleic acid base related compound is prepared from the compound having a specific nitrogen-containing heterocyclic structure. That is, the compound having the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic structure having pyrimide (5,4-d)pyrimidine expressed by formulas I-IV as the base nucleus (in the formula, each of X and Y represents a primary amino group, a secondary amino group, Z represents NH, sulfur atom or oxygen atom, W is directly bonded or represents a bonding group and (C) represents a carrier) is used. The adsorbing material is produced by chemically treating the carrier to introduce a functional group, reacting the functional group of the resultant carrier with a solution containing tetrachloro pyrimide (5,4-d)pyrimidine in the presence of a base and chemically treating the pyrimidine base nucleus of the resultant product.
