PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing bar bending method by which setting of two kinds of bending radiuses is easily changed, working precision is stabilized and repeating work is easily executed. SOLUTION: In a reinforcing bar bending machine wherein a transported reinforcing bar is pressurized by a bending roller 5 and specified radius bending is formed, two sets of stoppage stoppers facing an adjuster are provided, the progress measure of the bending roller 5 is controlled and two large and small radius bending are executed. A spacer 24 having a progress directional width wider than the difference between a progress measure for small radius bending and a progress measure for large radius bending from the progress base pint of the adjuster is attachably and detachably fitted to the butting surface of the stopper 21 of the adjuster 23 for large radius bending, the adjuster for large radius bending is positioned using the butting surface of the spacer 24 as a reference, while the adjuster for small radius bending is positioned using the butting surface of the stoppage stopper 20 of the adjuster 22 for small radius bending as a reference.
