PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a lifter load during can seaming. SOLUTION: In a seaming device arranged with a lifter and a chuck, a measuring work 21, in which a load measuring unit 23 and a dummy can body 24 are bound by a binding means 25, is arranged between the chuck and the lifter. A base 31 to place the dummy can body 24 and a load cell 32 to measure the load applied the base 31 are arranged to the load measuring unit 23. The output signal of the load cell 32 is led to a transmitter 33, the signal corresponding to the measured result is transmitted from a transmitting antenna 85. The transmitted signal is received by an appropriate receiver to analyze the measured value.
