PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and accurately assemble (join) in a simple and easy way, the bars of a die coater which has slits and pockets formed among mutually joined bars by applying pressure to the contact planes of the bars with a joining means by hydraulic or air pressure. SOLUTION: Bars 1, 2 are caused to face to each other in the contact planes 9 so that a pocket 3 and a slit 4 are formed, and the positioning plane 6 of each bar is brought into contact with a positioning and supporting member 11. After a cylinder 21 is brought into contact with a fixed plane 8 of one bar, pressure is applied to fix both the bars 1, 2. Though the cylinder 21 may be operated either by hydraulic or air pressure, hydraulic operation is preferable for accurate control of pressure, Thus, the assembly and disassembly can be carried out very simply in a short time with a high accuracy in comparison with conventional bolt joining. Therefore, foreign matters can be completely removed by disassembling, so troubles of coating streaks due to foreign matters can be decreased.
