PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct irregular density which may be caused in a printer, etc., by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A periodic noise generating unit 11 generates predetermined periodic noises according to amplitude and a period which are instructed by a signal instruction unit 10. An image correction unit 12 corrects recording data, which are sent from an image memory unit 14, on the basis of the periodic noises. Thus, in an image to be recorded by a printer 13, the spectral band intensity of other frequencies becomes small by the power spectrum of a predetermined space frequency of the above-mentioned correction signal, and irregularity in density is reduced.
